What Are Skills?

Skills are reusable instructions that help HallianAI perform a task in a consistent way. A skill is similar to a structured standard operating procedure (SOP) or a carefully written prompt that can be used repeatedly.

Skills can help with tasks such as:

• Preparing meeting minutes
• Responding to requests for quotation (RFQs)
• Analyzing contracts
• Structuring reports
• Working with MCP servers and tools
• Creating HTML files and other deliverables
• Applying a consistent review or analysis process

A skill may also include reference files that HallianAI can use when the skill is relevant.

How Skills Work

When a skill is activated, HallianAI adds the skill's instructions to the instructions for the current conversation. This gives the HallianAI Agent the process, structure, and additional context needed to complete the task.

Skills can be activated in two ways:

• Manually with a slash command
• Automatically when HallianAI determines that the skill is relevant

The available activation behavior depends on the skill's trigger mode.
