This tab contains all the main settings for your HallianAI instance. These are the default settings that will be used unless you customize them for a specific index. If you don’t set any options for an individual index, it will automatically use the chat settings from this tab.

The system message is like a set of instructions or guidelines you give to your AI before it starts chatting. This message helps the AI understand the context, role, and tone you want it to use. Setting a clear system message is important because it helps the AI stay on track and provide responses that match your business goals and communication style.
Here are some specific examples of what you can include in your system message:
Define the AI’s role:
“You are a helpful customer support assistant for Acme Corp.”
Share information about your company:
“Acme Corp is a technology company specializing in cloud software for small businesses.”
Provide details about your employees or team:
“Our team includes sales representatives, technical support staff, and product managers.”
Set the tone of responses:
“Always respond in a friendly, professional, and concise manner.”
Give special instructions:
“If you don’t know the answer to a question, politely let the user know and suggest they contact [email protected].”
Combine multiple instructions:
“You are an HR assistant for Acme Corp. Use a warm and supportive tone. When answering questions about company policies, refer to the employee handbook. If you are unsure, direct the employee to the HR department.”
By customizing the system message with details like these, you help the AI better understand your business and provide responses that are accurate, relevant, and in line with your company’s values.
